This is my 4th Data watch. Failures were band breakage. This replacement is a better design. I have change batteries and had good luck with the over all performance. Past watches took a beat but kept running. With this change in band design I expect this to last much longer.

This watch is wonderful. As with all Timex’s, “It takes a lick’n and keeps on tick’n”… Can’t seem to fill it’s on board memory with ‘stuff’, has more memory than I need. Great watch!

this watch, is a heaven sent. honestly don’t know how i ever got along with out it.

it’s better than a secretary/ assistant at reminding me of appointments, keeping me on time ( the time reminder , with scrolling text feature, is really helpful in reminding me what its reminding me about.) helping me track how long till my laundry finishes. track my pool laps. keep handy phone numbers with me. Wake me up daily ( daily alarm, or by weekday. It’s also water proof, in case you forget to take it of in the shower, or the pool.

the best part i fin is that i am not attached to using it solely while I’m around a computer, i can input the appointments in my self, by using the dial on the side of the watch. Although i do love using the computer, but not always able to get around it. Its great when someone mentions something on the spot they would like to do (get together).

the only thing about it, is there is not much choice about the arm band, they only produce it in two colors. neither one of them pretty. I think the utility of this device outweighs the lack of fashion statement. Besides you can always color it with nail polish, or something else that might stay permanently on.

do yourself a favor a buy this watch. it will be a life saver.

  4. I bought this watch because it seemed to have a lot of nice functions…

The problem was that the background Indiglo light stopped working during the second day of purchase… I am extremely disappointed of this Timex watch… I thought it would be a nice item but it wasn’t…

Now it is more expensive for me to return the watch than buy a new one due to the shipping cost! Now I will have to use it only for daily tasks! I already tried all the possible light configurations and it isn’t working at ALL!! It is a shame…

I have had several of these Ironman Data Link watches over the years. I really like the Data Link feature. I sync my PC’s clock to an internet atomic clock, then sync the watch’s time to my PC. I also like having backup phone numbers and appointments on my wrist in case I’m not near my smartphone. I also like all the timers and alarms that can be configured on my PC and then used to customize the watch’s behavior.

It’s true that the batteries wear down quickly and you have to be careful to make sure the O-ring seal is back in place after the battery is replaced. (I use my watch in the ocean too and dive down to moderate depths).

So I think I will really like this replacement watch. But the watch WASEN’T REALLY IN STOCK, even though Amazon said it was. So the shipment was delayed. OK, I can get over that because it was only a short delay. However, when I track the progress of my “free 2 day shipping”, I find that it was sent via Parcel Post, not Priority Mail. So it isn’t going to arrive within 2 weeks. Shame on Amazon!!!

I’ll guess that I’m really going to like this watch, but drop a star for the “dropped ball”. Sure wish I knew if I liked it or not.
